[Irb] HIPAA training documentation update

Dear IRB Researchers and Study Staff,

As part of the HRPP’s efforts to reduce burden on researchers and automate the process of updating trainings in IRB Manager, researchers will no longer need to use HIPAA training xforms for uploading HIPAA training certificates into IRB Manager and the training xforms will no longer be available in IRB Manager for use.

Instead, the HRPP office will update HIPAA training expiration dates once every week. While completing an xform, if you do not see HIPAA training information for an individual, you can still submit the xform. In most cases the weekly HIPAA training update will resolve this issue. If the required HIPAA training is not complete, HRPP staff will reach out to you.
